New things

Hmmph. People have been ranting about Twitter. To be fair lots of calm “it’s great” has happened, too.

I’ve been resisting. Being old and grumpy. That kind of thing.

But the rant bugged me.

I still don’t know how this is going to work or if this is going to work for me but I decided that the only way to find out is to try.

So I’m on Twitter.

That’s me. JoVE was taken, unsurprisingly. Damn Greek gods.

  1. Good for you! I still won’t try it. I’ve got blogging, facebook, texting, email list-serves, and some people actually still want to talk to me on the phone or even (gasp!) “in person”. I’m tapped out – who can talk this much?

  2. oh you should be here to hear me laughing about this… welcome to the dark side. I don’t twitter but that thingy I was talking about on my blog that BIL is doing will read them for you…
    See you saturday/

  3. I so get what Sara (learningumbrella) is saying. But I don’t text (no cell phone) or facebook (fear of meeting people I went to high school with is much higher than fear of wasting time chattering on the internet).

But my head is spinning already. Because in Twitter all the knitters, homeschoolers, small biz folks, and whoever are in the same list!

It’s like a party where you aren’t sure if your friends will still like you if they meet your “other” friends. 🙂

  4. I’ve been avoiding twitter. But it suits me more than facebook–I love status updates more than anything else.

So I’m going to be a joiner. And make you my first friend!
